The preschool had a Field trip to Ataturk's house today, where we arrived with the Pre-K and Kindergarten classes to find the museum closed for lunch. The planning in Turkey is just impeccable sometimes.
When I returned from the field trip Aeden was already asleep for naptime, with his face painted and all. I let him sleep a while longer, then scooped him up and headed to Armada to drop off Brian's shoes for repair--Aeden with his face painted and all. He got even more attention than normal with his cute Turkish flag rendition on his cheeks. He drove the cars in Loco Poco for as long as I'd let him and screamed his way out as I dragged him off to finish our shopping and get home before the girls.
Daddy got scared when he got home...right at the moment he unlocked the door and peeked inside he caught a glimpse of Aeden's face with red streaks across it and the door buzzer rang right in his ear as the girls just arrived downstairs. Ha ha!
Brian and I got upset tummies from the kasarli kofte I picked up at the meat counter at the Armada Carrefour...fun night, rescued by some of the last Tums we have with us. Not to worry, the kids all refused the kofte anyway, so they didn't get sick!
