Hung out at home, had a bit of a girls day at Armada with the girls (we left the boys at home and went to Starbucks, shopped for a long time, stopped at McDonald's for snacks, and generally goofed off in our boy-free freedom).
On our way to the mall we saw Tim and Lizzie driving in the parking lot...and they stopped to say hi. Tim asked if I was ready "for tomorrow" and I didn't even know what he was talking about. There's a ballet for one of us to take the girls to! He promised he'd call later on with details for me, since it was clear Brian hadn't relayed them. Oops.
Nancy brought over some very yummy chocolate chip cookies from a Cook's Illustrated recipe with browned butter. If only Turkish chocolate chips were bigger, they'd have been the perfect cookies!
Aeden's down for his nap...the girls are off to go shopping!
Lacey decked out in skirt, crazy tights, and boots...the Turkish way!
Oh, don't forget to clean your shoes, you're in Turkey for goodness' sake!
A mosque being built right next door to Big Chefs restaurant. When we first arrived here there was nothing but a vacant lot here, and while we were eating at Big Chefs we saw surveyors looking over the spot and talking with a woman in a business suit and headscarf. Looks like the plans were already underway.
Aeden modeling the dress Maren picked out for herself today. Fabulous, eh?
Time for some dancing to Rodrigo y Gabriela in Lacey and Maren's new fiesta skirts, with Aeden still in the dress.
Finally ended with the neighbors down below thumping on the ceiling for quiet...
But they certainly had a good time while it lasted.
