As if following 5 people around through Turkey weren't enough, it will now be 7 for a few days. Hang on tight!
The preschool class had a field trip to an orchestra rehearsal in the morning and they were very well behaved and seemed to have fun seeing the instruments up close. We sat for about 10 minutes in the front row of the theatre listening, and then were whisked back to the school for lunch time. Whirlwind tour!
Brian came to the preschool to meet Aeden and me at noon and we bussed to Kizilay to meet up with Kaye and Myron at their hotel. They'd already been up and exploring the area and had visited Kocatepe Mosque! We walked a bit through Kizilay and wandered our way across Guven Park for lunch at a new Turkish fast food place, Ekmekci. Then we hopped onto a dolmus to head over to our apartment and Myron and Kaye got to experience that form of Turkish transportation. They weren't let down, as the driver passed on the left a few times and had plenty of urgent stops to remind us that we were still on Ankara roads with Ankara drivers.
We visited at the apartment while waiting for the girls to get home, and then Myron, Kaye, Maren, and I walked to the market for some fruit and veggies. It just started raining, and the wind was strong, so the weather was not too nice for a stroll. So we got some apples and stuff and headed home.
We had take-out from Aspava for dinner at the apartment. Myron and I went over to pick it up and had some tea while they prepared the dinner for us. Myron and Kaye got to witness first hand Aeden's love for the cucumber yogurt soup as he sucked on an empty cup of it once back at home.
