Tuesday, March 31

Back to school and back to the dolmus ride home. Today Aeden did not want to fall asleep, but he DID want to share the headphones with the girl sitting next to us listening to her MP3 player. She seemed plenty happy to share, so he had one ear bud and she had the other, and he kept snoozing with his head on my shoulder, but as soon as we'd take the earbud away, he'd stir again and snatch it back. So at one point he was asleep on my shoulder and she was leaning her head on his, as they shared the music. I wish I would've been able to pull out my camera without destroying the scene, it was so sweet. She kissed Aeden on the head and cuddled him. But not a word of English. We hopped off the dolmus and walked our way home, and that was that. It was definitely a time when I deeply regret not having gone to Turkish lessons so I could communicate better. I did say thank you to her in Turkish, at least.
